Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-27) released the April schedule for his Chautauqua County “Congress On Your Corner” program, which offers regular satellite hours in an effort to better serve local residents.  In 2008 alone Congressman Higgins’ office will host over 140 “Congress on Your Corner” events at locations across Chautauqua County.

 

“Sometimes it may be difficult for our constituents to come to our office, so my staff will travel to neighborhoods across the 27th district to take our services directly to the people,” said Congressman Higgins.  Constituents have the opportunity to talk directly with someone from Congressman Higgins’ office about issues related to Social Security, the Veteran’s Administration, citizenship and immigration, or any other matters they may need assistance with. 
 
The April “Congress on Your Corner” schedule will be as follows:

 

Tuesday, April 8
11:30am – Noon – Hotel Jamestown – 3rd Street, Basement

 

Friday, April 11
11:30am – Noon – Fredonia Office of Aging Facility – 32 Moore

1:00 – 3:00pm – Fredonia Village Hall – Trustees Room, 2nd Floor

 

Wednesday, April 16
9:00 – 11:00am – Village of Lakewood – 20 West Summit Street
1:00 – 3:00pm – Findley Lake – 2883 North Road

 

Residents are encouraged to visit a satellite site to share their concerns, questions and ideas with a representative from Congressman Higgins’ office.  Residents can also continue to reach Congressman Higgins’ permanent office in Chautauqua County from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday at 2 East Second Street in Jamestown.  For additional information call 484-0729.
