It is estimated that Congress receives 86.9 million pieces of mail annually. In recognition of “National Write to Congress Day,” an observance celebrated on January 3, 2006, Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-27) would like to invite constituents to continue to share their ideas and concerns by contacting his office.
“Letters, phone calls and emails from the residents in Erie and Chautauqua Counties are an essential component as I work to represent your best interests in Washington, DC,” said Congressman Higgins.
Congressman Higgins noted, over the last year he received an average of 600 constituent correspondences at his three offices each week. All communications with Congressman Higgins’ office are read, recorded and responded to. It is often best to send correspondence by email or fax, since all U.S. mail to Congressional offices is delayed due to the security screening process. |
